Whew! Its been a long time coming, but it is here! I am ready to push forth my first mixtape based on positivity and empowerment to share with YOU! I chose the name InteGRITTY because the mixtape exemplifies the core value of integrity. In its purest form, I think integrity means to WALK LIKE YOU TALK! Each song was written to creatively express Who I Am. And...GRITTY, cuz you know...it's my own brand/my own flava of hip hop. I am proud of it, but I also know I have soooo much more to give. I wrote, practiced and recorded this mixtape all while raising 5 children to the best of my ability, kindling a solid partnership with my life long companion, interning at a counseling center for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, facilitating workshops and public speaking events for true love movement AND working as a group facilitator for at risk girls! Writing, practicing, recording and performing is how I care for myself because being an artist...expressing myself...is how I stay sane! It is also my own unique style of community service in that it balances what is out there in the mainstream (and in independent music). My style of hip hop is not for everybody. But I guarantee if you are tired of what is on the radio or even just need a lil balance, you can digg it! If you remember how hip hop used to be...simple, clear and powerful...then you can digg it! Please feel free to holla at me with good or not so good feedback. I'm still growing in my emcee voice, but Fiyah...she keeps emerging hotter and hotter!
Shout out to Black Skelly (Joe Mills) of Black Magic Music who recorded me, mixed and mastered all the songs (and dealt with all my moods). Asante' Sana, King! Big Up to my Sistahs, Mama Nabii (Kuumba Academy) and Cfreedom (cfreedomphotography) for bringing that heat to the mixtape via fiyah verses on Rally the Troops. Nakupenda, Dada! So much love to my brother Mike Molina (momolinamedia) who blasted the hook on Play With That Fiyah, as well as directed the video for Rally the Troops. More Power to Us, Mike! And shout out to my lil sistahs Alexis and HeiYesh, who never let me forget I had people waiting on the mixtape! I see y'all!
ENJOY and if you are feeling it...PASS IT ON!

Dropping Jewels (InteGRITTY:tha mixtape)On an original track by Philthy Phil...this one is MY favorite :) Download and share! (((for the HATERS and the BITERS)))

Play With That Fiyah featuring Mike Molina (InteGRITTY:tha mixtape)The Fiyah Sistah? She goes black to ancient times. And don't play with her...she can warm you and sho nuff can burn you...Featuring Mike Molina on the hook!

The (Jazzy Belle by OutKast) Experiment featuring Fiyah (InteGRITTY:tha mixtape)This is only an experiment! I repeat... This is only an experiment! I had the need to feminine-ly balance my favorite rappers, Andre 3000 and Big Boi, cuz they went clean off on "Jazzy Belle". And yeah, she's trifling but she has got some healing to do! Bare with me on this one. The tracks don't match, but it doesn't stop the message! ***Rated PG-14 for language

Hot Thing (InteGRITTY:tha mixtape)Fiyah lyrics to a classic Roots track... originally on the first album "Uplift Yo' Self", but its so deep it can be two places at one time! Especially available for my babies, the students at John Mac in NOLA, who would never let me forget how much they love this song/poem.
"Extraordinary" by Queen Jr. High written by Ayanna Molina and performed by Kaya, Sade, Essence and Sundiata of Queen Jr. High. To download, contact TLM and for a small donation to Sandy's Summer Camp it will be sent directly to your email!
A word from Ayanna AKA Fiyah:
I'm not your average "emcee". Especially in this day in hip hop, I am definitely not average. I am a grown woman with children, a lifelong companion (husband), and I'm a self-published author and counselor in training. Why Hip Hop?
I am clear that hip hop is the necessary tool to reach the masses of young people who are hypnotized by media. Why Hip Hop? Because it's one of the only ways to reach them, to help them heal and to truly change things. As a teacher I am in contact with many young people of different ages. From 6 on up they can spit Ludacris' lyrics or a T-Pain hit in an instant. They may not truly comprehend exactly what they are repeating, but we must know that subconsciously our children are learning. Do we really understand how powerful that is? Our children are struggling in a school system that does not cater to their learning needs. It is obvious that our children learn by rhyme and rhythm. They have trouble learning history dates and facts, math facts or spelling and vocabulary, but they can word for word a Lil Wayne rhyme.
I take my skills as a poet, teacher, artist and hip hop lover and be the change Hip Hop needs. I got the drive, the talent and God's blessing. Now that I have answered the question "Why?"...now "How?"
It is my pleasure to introduce MC Fiyah. I'm bringing back the fearless female emcee. Instead of rhyming about sex, money, cars and violence, I'm on the other side rapping about the upliftment of women, the sacredness of children, and the empowerment of the community, our race and all people. Hip Hop is a tool. For people who want to talk the talk...here's a way to walk the walk. Join the True Love Movement. Support MC Fiyah. Support positive Hip Hop and use hip hop as a tool to uplift, not down press.

There is a personal journey that must take place in each of us before the world becomes a balanced place. Positive World Healing is the final goal of True Love Movement! The journey starts with yourself. Won't you join the True Love Movement? You don't have to sign on the dotted line or pay a fee. Just journey to True Love...Self Love...Sistah/Brotha Love...Community Love...One Love...True Love with me! The time is NOW!
