True  Love  Movement

"One Love" is a term coined by the honorable Bob Marley to describe Unity.  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that we would one day achieve "One Love", where all people would honor and respect each other.  Even though both of these men are revered as great prophets and leaders, their ideas are somewhat forgotten and hardly practiced.  This idea of "One Love" seems unattainable because we live in a society where hatred is rampant and fear is a staple of life.  Where do we begin to achieve this balanced state of "One Love"?  Is this True Love even a real possibility?

Since the Civil Rights Movement, there has never been such a needed phenomenon as the True Love Movement. 

Ayanna Molina conceptualized the True Love Movement to begin at the core.  She says," In order to love any one else, you must first love yourself.  We have heard this old adage time and time again.  Where do you start in a world full of hate? 

Young Black women are the mothers and future mothers of our world's children.  She's the cornerstone of the Black Family .  She is hurting, downtrodden and disrespected.  As long as she is tired and sick and full of hate, the world is in trouble.  We must start somewhere!"

True Love Movement is a grassroots effort to help young Black women succeed under the pressures of this society.  Sexual promiscuity, compulsive behavior, abuse, depression and self-hatred are only some of the problems young Black women face. 

Why "True Love” Movement?

True Love is not meant as a romanticized notion of a fairy tale kind of love.  True Love is what we as women should feel for ourselves, our Creator, our families,our people and our community.  True Love Movement starts at the first step to achieve the goal of "One Love".

True Love Movement has a detailed plan to this goal, and the key is the Black woman.  Once we heal ourselves, we heal our children and our future.  As we heal, we lead by example to the Black man on his healing journey.  Unity is achievable!  The Black woman is the key!
